New Snow last 24 Hrs: 4”
Trail Conditions: Good – Excellent
Due to a non-snowmobiling injury, Pete is not able to ride currently.
We got around 4” of system snow Monday evening! Some nice heavy snow is always good for the trail base.
Today’s report from Julie & Lewis, riding north to Thompsonville was excellent the whole way!
From Jon & Sandy, who rode south to Reed City, Chase, Baldwin and up, they rated things as excellent with one short, choppy section.
Special thanks to Cadillac Winter Promotions and other neighboring grooming clubs. We’re talking to a lot of happy riders! …. Ride right! Julie
Tuesday 2/28th 4pm
Hello- Got 3-4” in last day with some rain/snow mix and then fresh snow on top … there likely will be some spot grooming done, but don’t want to disturb the base too much yet … When dirt gets mixed in with the snow, we lose the rigidity of the ice base. Several people were riding this past weekend, but decent conditions were very localized from Coyote up to Mesick. Check out Coyote webcam for current pictures. Cold temps and some snow are in the forecast… THINK SNOW! Pete
- Coyote cabins are still available right now for this coming weekend … check online for booking!
- This video was taken on Saturday before the new snow!
Hi There!
We’re Pete and Julie Finch, owners of Coyote Crossing Resort.
Our family loves to hit the trails and explore all that northern Michigan has to offer!
We started Pete’s Trail Report to inform other outdoor enthusiasts of the snowmobile trail conditions in the Cadillac area, but we’ll also be sharing our insider perspective of living life at the 44th parallel in hopes to inspire others to take time to stop and smell the pine trees. We hope you enjoy!
