A little insight into the owners…

Born and raised in Lafayette, Indiana, our connection to Northern Michigan began long before we ever imagined calling it home. For years, we vacationed here with family, creating memories that eventually turned into something much more meaningful.

Towards the end of the COVID, we took the opportunity to live at our family cabin near Caberfae Peaks for a couple of months, and even worked at Coyote Crossing during our stay! That experience allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the area and confirmed what we had always felt — Northern Michigan is truly our happy place.

Previous owners, Pete and Julie Finch, left some big shoes to fill! We are so thankful for the foundation they have laid and the care they put into creating such a special place. Their hard work and dedication built something truly meaningful, and we’re grateful to be able to carry that forward!

January 1, 2026 – It was official! As new owners, our goal is to help create meaningful experiences for every guest who visits. We hope to provide more than just a place to stay — we want to facilitate memorable vacations, lasting traditions, and lifelong friendships within this amazing community we’re proud to now call home.

We are so grateful to now be building our life in a place that has meant so much to us for so long! We look forward to meeting so many of YOU during your visit to Coyote Crossing.

With love,

Kaylyn and Karson Kyhnell
