About half of our system is passible for sleds at this time, but many obstacles and dangerous sections remain. Fortunately, the sledding season is wrapping up in this area, since we’re nearing the end of March. Not just warm upcoming temps are working against us, but the damage to the trail system from this last storm is more than this volunteer group can handle. * DNR has advised us to open what we can and leave the dangerous trees to them or the USFS. Times like these remind us that we still need more volunteers to assist this club, and make it run more smoothly. I know many of you are side-by-siders and are excited for Spring. If any of you want to go out in wheeled vehicles and help with trail clean-up, we are open to all assistance!
FYI – Trail 6 west of Caberfae Road is impassible; and Trail 37 from Boon to Mesick is being evaluated later today.
SPECIAL THANKS – to Pat, Joel, TJ, Karson, Jarrod, Dave, & Brad. This group put in extra effort to help clear trails with me!!
STAY SAFE & RIDE WITH EXTREME CAUTION! … Pete
